Happy Thanksgiving long weekend Grade One Families,

Here are some highlights of our week together:

-"In music we learned a new song called Bluebird Bluebird. I like the song because you pretend to be bluebirds." Lucas

-"We drew what we smell and what we see in the Fall." Cale

-"We started Fire Writing this week. You can write and draw stuff in a special journal." Lily E.

-"We did a new song called Poison Rhythm with Mrs. Harris. I liked it." Ciara 

-"We made picture graphing. We had to ask 10 people what was their favourite thing, we had to draw pictures for it." Aidan. C

-"We did a word of the day. There is a word and we have to say the word of the day." Andrew

-"In journals, we wrote about what we are thankful for. I was thankful for my Dad because my dad got me a game." Trent

-We are thankful for thanksgiving. We have people over and we are thankful for the person who brought the food." Evan

-"Mr. Newman taught us a new game. It was a force game, we had to take some treasures like stars and circles. If you get the most treasures you win." Bentley T

-"We learned about a game in Gym called Zoo keeper. Whoever tags you, you run back and forth to the stage and the ladders." Kalen


Reminders:
~Swimming Field Trip Forms are Due ASAP.
~We need 3 volunteers daily including one male each day.
~No School Monday October 8th.
~Picture Day is October 15th.
~Please return your T.W.A.S. every Monday
~Home reading needs to be returned daily with their home folders.
