Good Afternoon Families! Read below for some of the great things that happened in grade one this week!
"Today we had a STEM Challenge and we were supposed to make a bridge and it had to be as long as one yellow ruler. We made the top of it and the bottom of it, but we couldn't get it to stand because it kept tipping over." Lucas
"In our butterfly observation book we had to write about what we see. I saw the caterpillar was on the roof of the container for the whole day! We had to check off what stage it is in. My caterpillars name is Detective Caterpie and it is number 24." Reid
"In Science we looked at the caterpillars and used the magnifying glasses. I saw my caterpillar moving! We saw some spikes and we saw the face and the head and the eyes." Bentley T.
"Yesterday we did chalk and bubbles because I won the raffle for Shave a Lid for a Kid. I picked some friends, Andrew, Serena, and Paige to come with me and Ms. Craik." Ciara
"In Drum Fit we listened to Coach P. and he played Uptown Funk. You had to follow along and when he went around in circles I ran around in circles!" Lily H.
"Yesterday was PJ and stuffie day. My stuffie was a Pokeball. I like it because it is a keychain too and I can put the thing around my finger. I can throw the ball and it will come straight back to me!" Evan
"In Movement with a Message we learned some new moves from Rebecca and Rubix. We learned 'Yo What's Up' and 'Bear.' We played freeze dance and it was really fun!" Jake
"In journals we wrote about when it is hot out. I wrote when it is hot out I like to play with water balloons. I would put them in the pool! I like to get slurpees and ice cream on a hot day too." Kalen
