Good Afternoon Families!

It was a short, but great week in grade one! Please read below for highlights from the last three days!

"In gym we are skipping and we tried to skip backwards and we tried to do it ten times.  I was helping friends that couldn't do it and then they could do it." Alicia

"Today was Valentine's Day and we handed out Valentine cards.  You had to grab your Valentines cards and put them in the bags with their names on it." Reid

"Yesterday we made Valentines bags and we could make them a kitty, a doggy, or a unicorn.  We used paper, glue, scissors, and a paper bag.  I made a kitty that was pink.'' Aiden VM

"Today we wrote about Valentine's Day and I wrote I love Valentine's Day because I love giving cards." Kalen

"In journals we were writing about Valentine's Day and what it means to us.  I like to spend time with my family and I go out and I eat dinner with my Mom and brother." Jake

"In Stop and Jot we learned about walruses.  They have tusks that help pull them out of the water and on the ice." Evan

"In Stop and Jot Kate brought in an ice movie and we were learning about polar bears and other Arctic animals." Lucas

"In Math we were talking about if you have two numbers and you flip them they equal the same." Ciara

"In journals yesterday we wrote what we would look like when we were 100 years old.  I would have a walking stick, grey hair, and a huge beard." Kyle

"When we talked about walruses we wrote in our Stop and Jot journals.  We learned that they have blubber." Bentley M

"In math we drew ten pictures of ten.  After we did that we flipped our visual journals over and tried to make 100." Cooper
