Welcome Back! We hope that you all had a wonderful and restful Spring Break!  Below are a few highlights from our week:

"In the STEM challenge we made a Lego boat and we could put one penny on it and if it floated we could put two! There were challenges for putting weights on it too.  My boat was three pieces with a white piece on top and I could put three pennies on it.  I had to make it a little stronger so that it could carry more." Cooper

"This week we made birdhouses.  My birdhouse on the front I used purple and a mish mash of colours that was on the plate!  Here is a fun fact.  I had to use some orange from a different table and I put a star on it." Elliott

"In TWAS we did how to make a birdhouse and it was you had to sort to see if you had all the pieces.  The second step you had to glue on the squares and the back.  Then you had to put the front on the squares.  You also had to put the roof on and then you had to put the stick on the top. Then you had to put an elastic around it and paint it.  I painted a rainbow bird and dots and lots of colours!" Kate

"This week in gym we played tennis and we learned different ways to hit the ball." Ciara

"In the STEM challenge we built a boat.  Me and my buddy built a boat that needed to be on top of the water.  It was really hard because when we put two pennies on it held, but when we put another one it didn't" Lucas

"In our visual journals we drew a bluejay.  It took a long time to do it.  We watched a video about how to draw it.  We drew a robin too." Bentley

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers who helped us with our birdhouses!! We appreciate you so much and feel extremely lucky to be a part of such an involved and caring community!  We also wanted to thank parent council for providing the funding for those in class experiences for our students. :)
