Good afternoon families,
 We hope this message finds you all well J Here are some of our highlights together this week:
 “In gym we played Zombie tag and then we got to play with Pillo Polo”. Cooper
 “In gym we played with the soft balls, and we got to play with Polo sticks and we were trying to roll it into the net to score a goal.” Lucas
 “For this week in T.W.A.S we made bears and then had sound out the parts of a bear.” Neve
 “In our Visual Journals we got to draw about the Elf on the Shelf with Miss. A. I made mine standing on the roof.” Wyatt
 “Comic book club this week I drew Dogman. Dogman is my favourite comic.” Lennon
 “In Social Studies we are learning about our Neighbourhood communities. Our school is in Lake Bonavista. We saw this on Google Earth.” Easton
 “In Music we learned in a different language. I liked that we got scarves to do movements with the song.” Kate
 “With Mrs. Harris we are learning Jingle Bells for the Christmas concert. We get a partner and get to switch with them after spinning around.” Alicia
 In Fire Writing we got to make our own comic books about school. In my school we had a fun water balloon fight.” Aidan C
 “We asked the kids in our class what kinds of bears they liked best between Brown Bears, Polar Bears and Black Bears. Polar Bears was liked the most.” Ellia
 
“We created a Christmas countdown.  There are 25 days until Christmas!” Ciara
 “We are going to do a STEM challenge today.  I think we are building Lego.” Evan
 “This week in Music we practiced Jingle Bells!” Acasia
 “We opened the Beakerhead box and we did a sharing circle and guessed what was in it.  I thought it was paper because I heard the shaking.  It was tape.” Reid
 “We are supposed to build a creation with the tape for the year 3018! I think we should build a flying house!” Presley
 “We made bears in our TWAS out of paper.  One part of the bear is the ears!” Bolor
 “On Friday we did the STEM challenge.  It was about building things with gears and Lego.  I had not many steps on mine.  I made a drill with my buddy.  I had Jayden and Keaton!” Jacob
 “We did a STEM Challenge.  We built Lego and it was a pretend drill.  It was electric!” Clint
 “On Crazy Hair day we drew a picture of us in our crazy hair.  Mine was a blue fohawk!” Andrew

Good Afternoon Families!

What an exciting two weeks!  We did not post a blog post last week so our highlights below are from November 12th-22nd.  Enjoy!

"Last week we went to the Zoo and we got to see the monkeys.  They were goofing around and then we saw one fall and then it climbed on a branch." Cooper

"For the 'Best Part of Me' we wrote about what the best part of us is and I wrote about my ears.  If I didn't have my ears I wouldn't be able to hear beautiful music." Georgia

"This week in gym we learned how to play volleyball.  We worked on setting the ball." Neve

"At the Zoo in Bear Necessities we learned that polar bears have black skin underneath their coat." McKenzie

"At the Zoo we learned that bears eat different types of food and the brown bear and the black bear eat the same food.  They eat fish and plants." Wyatt

"At the Zoo I learned that alligators can eat five people or fish and frogs or other tiny animals at a time.  I also learned that bats can sleep until Spring is over because if they land on snow they could die." Cale

"We wrote about what snow feels like and what we like about snow.  I wrote about what snow feels like.  It feels fluffy!" Easton

"In the gym we did volleyball and we got to pick our partners.  Yesterday we passed the ball and bumped it.  It was fun to pass the ball!" Acasia

"With Miss. A in Social Studies we made pictures of us.  I wrote I am a good friend." Aidan C

Good afternoon Grade 1 families,

Here are some of our highlights of our week together:

-"We started the Comic book club this week. We partnered up with some buddies and we could bring a comic book from home. We also could pick a comic from the library." Evan

-"In gym we played with the parachute and we played a game called Cat and Mouse. I was the mouse and went under the parachute and the cat goes on top of the parachute, if the cat gets the mouse the mouse has to go back out of the parachute." Abbey

-"We wrote about Peace in our journals. I wrote peace feels like an ambulance going past." Andrew

-"Today is our Remembrance Day assembly and we are going to sing O' Canada. We have some kids from our class that are also going to say poem." Kate

-"In the Remembrance assembly I am going to say the poem. It is called Little Poppy." Presley

-"This week we made our Doves to hang up in the gym for the assembly. We wrote what peace feels or looks like. I wrote Peace feels like newborn kittens." Lucas

-In math, we learned about different ways to make numbers." Jacob N

-"In Music we practiced singing O' Canada and we also practiced Nothing More and Peace In My fingers." Cooper

-"In our Visual Journals we wrote about things that we were peaceful for. I wrote friends and family." Acasia

-"In gym we played a game called lifeguard and sharks. We used a parachute and it was fun." Will

-"We made poppies this week in Art. We got red paper and then made different shapes for poppies, and then we painted on a big piece of paper and then glued them onto the paper." Ciara

-"In art we made a graveyard for Remembrance day. We did this with Miss. A, we painted it, and then used red tissue paper for the poppies." Anna

-"We doves out of paper. I put a smiley face and my dove was rainbow and it said love in the middle." Cale

-Teacher conference sign up will start Monday November 12th.

-Field trip to the Zoo Thursday November 15th (depart at 8:30 am).

Hello Families! Happy Friday!  Below are some highlights from our week!

"We played a game in gym where two people would go under the parachute and switch spots!  It's hard because you can't go back to the same spot." Alicia

"In gym we played with the parachute.  The game that we played was lifeguard.  I was a shark and it was super fun!" Jacob

"In music we practiced the Remembrance Day song.  It is called Nothing More."  Cooper

"We went to the grade four classroom and we drew monsters in our journals.  It was hard because you had to roll the dice and whatever number you rolled you had to copy the body part." Reid

"In music we learned a song.  It's the mouse ran up the clock, hickory dickory dock!" Aidan C

"We cut open a pumpkin.  It was moldy and it was starting to grow stuff.  It kind of smelled like stinky socks in the laundry."  Acasia

"We worked with our grade four buddies.  My buddies name is Will S." Aiden VM

"In our visual journals we drew Frankenstein and a haunted house.  My haunted house was tilted!" Presley

"In math we made little pumpkins and we put them together with glue an sheets of paper.  We were problem solving." Lucas

"On Halloween we had a dance in the learning commons.  I was Steve from Minecraft.  I went trick or treating with Theo and Dex." Elliott

"I was Black Panther for Halloween. I went trick or treating with my Mom." Trent
